I love a good story. I love the feeling of my hair standing on its ends when the perfect story hits its climax. Unknowingly creeping to the edge of my seat as words unravel. I love taking that deep breath and exhaling to make sure it’s really happening. Equal parts strategist, creative genius and architect. I’m also pretty fond of tequila and tennis.
8 Nineteen Communications was born out of all of the things I love about PR – every brand and every business has a story, and telling it in a way that causes chills isn’t reserved just for an elite few.
My mind runs wild when it comes to collaborations, and I believe communications and PR don’t solely exist in a traditional box any longer. It’s not just about what you do, it’s about why it matters. Experiences are shaped by interactions. Influence dictates decisions.
With over 14 years of experience working with one of the worlds most recognized branded storytellers, I’ve created integrated communications campaigns that were recognized with top honours in both the Canadian and US markets. I’ve perfected my pitch with presidential media trainers, I’ve launched cross-country book tours for #1 Bestselling authors. I’ve designed trade show programs from literally the ground up, hosted corporate events at the nostalgic New York City Waldorf Astoria, and I’ve built brand collaborations with ABC’s The Bachelor to Kim Kardashian, and everyone in-between.
My favorite story that I’ve told? Marrying Harlequin romance novels and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR). Crazy? Absolutely. Worth it? Just take a look at the front page of the New York Times hanging in my office.
